Since Tuesday 23rd September 2008 we have been meeting at the Rhiwbina Recreation Club, Lon-Y-Dail, Rhiwbina, CARDIFF. CF14 6EA. (Archived Club News articles about the move)
Located to the north of Cardiff, between the A470 and A469 main roads, south of the M4 motorway. See: location page for a local map and a link to the bus time table for the services that serve the area.
With CCTV covering the car park, plenty of room, disabled access and facilities, 2 bars if you fancy a tipple and satellite TV for the footie, this new venue has it all!
We have antennas covering HF, 6M, 2M &70cm located to the rear of our shack and the radio equipment has been allocated secure, alarmed, storage space in the main building for when it's not in use.
Although the Recreation Centre can be quite busy at times and, on occasion, we have to hold our social meetings in the Lounge Bar rather than the Function Room, we have settled in quite well.
